I came across this game the other day, and it looks pretty good. Unfortunately, it crashes for me; most likely because I'm trying to run it on Win2k, when the requirements are WinXP or Vista.

A fun little game where you play as something that looks like one of those worms from Tremors. Dive up from the ground and snatch people and wildlife and even birds and planes.
If you dive up underneath a rock, you'll throw it, and it can kill other things. This goes for vehicles too.

This Deathworm game is very much a 'just one more go' kind of game. I recommend it.

Been playing it for a bit so that I can finally get acquainted with that SHMUP I played just once, a long time ago, on someone else's Windows NT PC. It may not give me the nostalgia factor of Raptor: Call of the Shadows(played the shareware version of that quite a bit), but I wouldn't be surprised if I caught myself saying that Tyrian is the superior game very soon despite the relative lack of nostalgia I get from it.

http://www.3drealms.com/downloads.html) 3d Realms download site isn't listed. Why? because they usually end up releasing the full versions of their discontinued games. This stuff, usually, is listed on liberated games; but it wouldn't be a bad idea to link to it anyway, since Rockstar is up there.
Currently discontinued freeware releases include: Bio Menace, Alien Carnage/Halloween Harry, Adventure Fun-Pack, Beyond the Titanic, Boppin' (via link), Caves of Thor, Major Stryker, Puzzle Fun-Pak, Stargunner, Supernova, Trivia Whiz, Wolf3D Super Upgrades addon, Word Whiz, and Xenophage: Alien Bloodsport.

Haven't tried the extra downloadable content yet, and there seems to be some sort of extra mission in the original world. [spoiler]In the Congratulations screen, you can climb off the top right side of the screen. Also, was anyone else half expecting a bossfight?[/spoiler]
