Ok, I'm doing a mission you get with one of the mods you download, I think. It's the quest your maid/housesitter/personal trader/whatever gives you when you get into the Manor next to Caldera, I forget the name, where you find this Karisa and she will upgrade my manor for me. Anyways, I went on the goose chase and found Karisa in the jail at Fort Buckmoth, but when I try to open the door with the key it says locked.....should I try and open it with a magic spell? I have opened things with it, so I know it works, but only tried it a few times and wanted to ask the "experts" first.
So, did I confuse anyone yet? I hope someone can help me, I spent quite some time on this quest. And I wouldn't mind getting my manor all decked out. :p

If you could at least say which plugin you're using, you'd likely have a better chance of geting a useful reply...

I gave all the details, the place is called South Hll Manor btw. I'm not sure if it came in a package of mods or I just downloaded it by itself, most likely the latter.
Oh, and I tried the unlocking spell and it didn't work. I'm baffled. :erg:

Hrm... Here's a little bit of elementary knowledge firstly: As far as Morrowind is concerned they're called "plugins", as they were written to "plug into" and thus supplement the existing game content, instead of masquerading as "modified" game files. With that said, if this is from a plugin that you've installed, then (as noone has replied yet) noone has yet guessed which plugin you're using. If this is not from a plugin, then you've typo'd the name 'Karisa' as no NPC exists with that name.
Given that, please re-read my 1st post in this thread. If neccessary, list what plugins you're using. Ideally you'll poke around each plugin's readme files and locate the plugin in question and thus almost certainly obtain an answer.

Oh, ok, sorry, I've always called them mods. And I didn't know the names of any of them.
Ok, I found it and read the readme.....uh you can delete this, it had a walkthrough for the quests in the readme. I'm a dumbass. :p :p :p :p
It's called South Hill Manor btw.

Well, still doesn't work....apparently she says more things than what she does to me....odd. I think there's a bug, cause in her house there are 2 notes, but I can only take 1, and when I try to take the other, it says I took it and my journal is updated, which it didn't and I don't take it.
I'm thinking if I do take the note and my journal gets updated she'll have more to talk about. And the guy who made the mod...err plugin :p said he was updating it and was gonna flush out newer versions with more stuff like some shops behind the manor and some added things to the house. So I guess I'll wait and maybe it'll be fixed. :cheeky:

Not bad, I was hoping you'd find your own answer; for me at least, it's always more rewarding than having someone give me the answers ;) And yeah, given what you've found re: the plugin's developer, I think "wait and see" is the best you can hope for unless you want to learn the editor :p

Why wouldnt you just email the creator or post the question on the morrowind-mods/elderscrolls mod section? Thats where most of the mod makers hang out, it is completely possible that the mod was bugged when it was released, and the creater hasn't made a fix or has made a fix and you havent gotten that yet.

Ahh, thank you. This place has changed alot, didn't realize, sorry. :p

I just meant, the creators would know alot more than us, since there are so many mods out there, I think the creators who put in all the scripts and stuff would know all about the plugins and would gladly fix any errors or help anyone who was stuck.
