For some odd reason Fraps doesn't want to record System Shock 2. It is open and all, but the benchmark isn't appaering and it isn't recording. Suggestions?

I have that odd problem too, never managed to fix it.

I know for a fact that Fraps works with SS2.
Try quitting both Fraps and SS2, then reloading Fraps and then SS2.

You do tech support for a living, don't you? ;)

I've had the same problem (while running from DromEd, most commonly for Thief 2, but...), and that has fixed it for me in the past! :p

It won't hurt to try it, although it sounds unusually simple. :p

I just said that because rebooting/restarting the program is almost always the first suggestion made by tech support.

Too many computer users don't even know what OS they are using, let alone restarting programs. :p

If I understand Nameless right his tip was about the order in which to start the programs. That's not quite as simple as saying: "Hey try restarting it.".
