receding glaciers, melting icecaps, that sort of thing
Would have been if it was happening, global temperature on the average has been rising for 0.6 degrees celcius in a 100 years, I don't find that terribly impressive. It's a scam. Melting icecaps, do you know how much energy it costs to raise the temperature of water with just 1 degree celcius, the ice is much more likely to cool the air.

not a thing, we can polute the planet but we can't change it's climate thats madness.

You're trying to humour me, but I'm not in the mood.

Okok, we might just be able to one day be able to influence the climate when we can influence the earth's orbit around the sun and consequently the flow of oceanic currents. But we can't.

I honestly can't tell if Fragony is taking the piss out of the global warming deniers or if he actually believes that melting glaciers is a mass media invention.
Because dude, I've been to Glacier National Park. It's happening.

Because changing the earth's orbit obviously is the only way to change climate.

Locally, which is normal, my country used to be like Antartica and Antarica like my country, climate just changes nothing you can do about it, pumping billions and billions in what is no more than the latest state religion isn't going to do anything but making some very cynical people very rich. Global Warming is just that, a religion and you are all falling for it.
Because changing the earth's orbit obviously is the only way to change climate.Well yeah it is, unless nuclear holocaust is part of the equation

Which implies that you have all sorts of evidence on your side, but so far you've made grandiose claims with absolutely nothing to back them up.
Let's take the glaciers. Are you saying that you've just never encountered visual evidence that they're melting? Or are you claiming that the thousands of photos, videos, satellite images, etc are some sort of massive conspiratorial hoax?
The "argument," in so far as that there is one, is to what degree humans are causing it and to what degree we can slow it down. The fact that it is HAPPENING - i.e. glaciers melting etc. - is not in dispute by anyone in the field or, well, anyone with any credentials I've ever talked to.

Well how about the earth not warming up, let's start from there. Because it just isn't. Glaciers are melting yes, at exactly the same time that the poles are growing somewhere else, then again decreasing somewhere else. Ever considered such a thing such as planetary activity, it's not a perfect orbit, sometimes it gets a little closer, or gets pulled out, it has absolutely nothing to do with CO2.
