It's kind of depressing that of all of the climate change denial I've read / heard - a huge proportion is due to an inability to grasp complex ideas which seem contradictory if you can't get your brain to absorb at the correct resolution (that's a metaphor in case anyone has to ask) and/or complete lack of understanding of basic scientific methodology.
The really unfortunate thing is that the idea that there is no such thing as man made climate change is so much more palatable, it really doesn't take much prompting to have people frothing at the mouth to defend it.
Clambering over a mountain of solid evidence in search of a few tenuous scraps of doubt is a bit moronic.
