I don't know what you're talking about all of those graphs clearly show declining temperatures.
Master Villain on 19/12/2009 at 03:03
No you are all wrong the temperatures are going SIDEWAYS.

Yeah, their patience is admirable, but Fragony has thus far demonstrated that he's not interested in facts and figures unless they can, when selectively taken out of context, back up his preconceived worldview. Climate change denial is an odd religion indeed.
What do you mean about selectively taking anything, I ignore them all since the data they are based on were manipulated. Again, no rise in global temperature despite a rise of CO2. And no you aren't going change my mind, or rather my instincts. Nose smells bull.
After all, the rising sea level is the biggest of the known dangers.lol how, how are these caps going to rise sea-levels with more than a few centimeters. Water could expand because of temperature rise but lower first because ice has more volume then water, tip of the iceberg thingy, eureka, and it takes much more energy to warm water then it does to warm air. Water dictates temperature not the other way around.
Today, as I lay in the snow with a cut knee, a bruised back, a banged head, a ruined suit, and a written-off coat, Lord Mockton, asaulted by UN personal because he is not absolutely terrified of CO2 because of his inquisitive disposition and common sense.

It's nice to know you can still find new ways to astound with your ignorance, and that your grasp of science is non-existant across the board.
Ice displaces exactly its volume in water, because that's how buoyancy works. The upward force is equal to the amount of fluid displaced. 50 kgs of ice will displace 50kgs worth of water, and the 'extra' volume will be the bit above the surface.
Sea ice melting doesn't have an effect either way.
Fragony on 19/12/2009 at 11:40
So that leaves that very, very small amount of surface ice rising 2/3 of the planet's surface with, what was it according to those that have a religion, 76 meter?
How?

Then, like I already said, you have no basis to your claim of the world's cooling since 1998, either. But then again, having a basis for your statements was never really important to you, was it?

No it really isn't of any importance whatsoever, I do not know, can be anything, provided there is actually something. It is enough that the earth isn't warming up despite a steady rise in CO2, what more do I need.
Namdrol on 19/12/2009 at 12:23
Fragony, it is normal in such debates to provide evidence, not just links.
Would you please spell out for us exactly what you mean by the earth is not warming and not just say it again and again.

Why has the title of this thread not been changed yet

I am not saying the earth isn't warming, I am saying it hasn't been warming for 10 years despite a steady rise of CO2. Earth has been warming alright, no less then a 0.6 rise in global temperature in 100 years, going from temperatures measured with 100 year old equipment. And, humans are only responsible for 4% of CO2 output it in the first place, so what are we talking about besides stealth socialism.
