The main one I was thinking of was the pending Cap and Trade legislation, which is estimated to increase taxes by nearly 900 billion but will produce a statistically insignificant drop in American CO2 emissions.

There's been other proposals, such as a "mileage tax" that have been projected to have similiar results: large increases in taxation(in many cases targeted primarily at middle and lower class workers) without making any difference in air pollution.

That's funny, I thought I was the guy not accepting that the earth is warming up because of CO2 considering there are hundreds of other theory's, because it just is. And it isn't.

oh lookielook, this is becoming even more fun, the high priests of the church of global warming decided to mentally block figures from Russia showing something their faith doesn't allow. Looks like we aren't all going to fucking die because of CO2, nor are we going to all fucking die because of OZON LAYER SHRINKAGE, and we aren't going to fucking die because of empty lakes in Sweden because of acid rain either. And I also think the Maya's got it wrong and we will see the year 2013.

Since this whole argument is based on the numbers of the IPCC, how is the IPCC insignificant for the argument at hand.

IPCC doesn't do research. All they do is take other people's research and make footnotes which normal people can understand and forward them to politicians' secretaries. Then politicians' secretaries turn these footnotes into two paragraphs of simple english sentences a child could understand and give them to politicians themselves.
IPCC's entire existence is completely irrelevant to the fact that majority of climatologists agree that global warming is happening and humans are most likely culprits* which I was referring to.

* - "Most likely" in the sense of a guy standing with a bloody knife over a dead body with a knife wound in a middle of Nevada desert.
