It's a good thing I have 5 fingers, at least I can equal the odds that way.

Yeah, come on guys, lets be reasonable. Scientists are nothing but a bunch of superstitious peasants anyway.

Goodwife Fragony does however look fetching in a bonnet. I think that's the real parallel.

That is funny but it doesn't fly here, we aren't talking about the scientific proces towards an outcome, we are dealing with making an already decided upon outcome look scientific. Don't you agree.
Stitch on 15/12/2009 at 04:33
yeah ttlg don't you agree

Consensus in action, we have a disagreement on what you believe to be a fact, and you are calling for social exclusion when there is doubt.

This is true. Denialists aren't individuals on the net refuting relativity. They are intent on making their decided upon outcome look scientific (by systematically misrepresenting existing science).

There we go again, the reversed argument. That existing science doesn't really exist anymore because it has lost all credibility since the data has been manipulated, whatever you do with it, besides knowing it's a scam, is simply not going to do.
Muzman on 15/12/2009 at 07:52
There is no evidence that the data has been manipulated. There's plenty of accusations, but they are easily refuted (and we've seen that many times already).
As I said; no interest in arguing the science, only misrepresenting it (and when that doesn't work, poisoning the well)

Why not? We are still in the situation where temperatures aren't rising despite a rise of CO2, maybe you are wasting time being absolutely terrified of CO2, maybe it was something else all the time and you missed it and now we are all fucked.
If you believe in all that, us being fucked and all.
