Read the faq's on that doc and feel free to offer compelling evidence that that panel of approx 50 people dotted around the globe have decided to lie and make stuff up (putting their own personal futures and economic well being at stake) so a few government's can raise taxes by a couple of % points.

I keep feeling like there's a language barrier between us English-as-a-first-language people and Fragony, and I don't mean that as an insult to him; but stuff like "flying spaghetti monster is clever" doesn't really make sense any other way.

I think he's equating people on the other side of this debate with the sort of people who use (
http://www.venganza.org/) this as a rebuttal to pro-deity arguments, no?

Yeah, I'm afraid we cannot dismiss Fragony's points here because he's not a native speaker. There are people who think that the flying spaghetti monster is the be-all and end-all of arguments against deism and religion, and that they're being clever by referring to it. If you know what FSM is and how it's used, it's pretty clear what Fragony's saying.

Anyway, most educated Dutch speak English better than some native speakers.
Edit, Ok they won't get all the prosody elements etc, but that's not exactly a problem in text based communication.

Oh, trust me, I still think you're pretty much full of shit on the issue discussed here. :p

Not saying we can't influence our enviroments, we can pollute our planet, but we can't change it's climate. It's not possible.
And you accuse other people of taking things on faith.
