Apologies if there is similar thread, I couldn't find it.
Anyway, so far played Lord Bafford's manor and encountered pretty big fps drops in couple of areas. In the kitchen, when you come from the back, behind the servant, and in couple of rooms left and right of the throne room. I have ddfix, widescreen patch and orgy's textures, but removing textures, or decreasing resolution didn't help (at least not much - had 1280x720 btw). Thief looks and runs wonderfully in other areas btw.
I could bypass the problem by looking, dunno, at the floor when entering those rooms, but if there's some fix, or anyone with some help, it would be greatly appreciated. Dunno how much of these fps drops might wait for me in the next missions.
My configuration is XPSP2, ATI 4670 video card, Athlon 4400+ Dual core, 2GB Memory. Think that should be enough for any resolution in Thief, right?
Thanks a lot.

There's yer problem Im afraid depending on which catalyst (ati gfx driver) you have installed. Early cats caused this FPS slowdown, but other ttlgr's have reported that the later/latest cats fix this issue somewhat..

Thanks Bikerdude. Though, can't know if it'll help as now, Thief crashes to desktop after a second or so.
Will do more reading tomorrow, thanks again.
EDIT: Crashes happened with 9.6 and 9.5 drivers, but 9.4 seem to work. No more crashes, and fps drops (at least not as great as before). Also, all three games work (1, 2 and T2X) - forgot to mention (well, found out later) that Thief 2 crashed as well.
Thanks a lot again. :)
