I've been playing this all week and kinda hesitating even making a thread about it because what is there to say, really? It's the follow up to FH4, and it's predictably wonderful. You drive around Mexico, get into races, win a new car, drive the new car, find out that there's a "barn find" nearby, go look for that, find another car, get into another race, which means you get to spin a big wheel which might earn you another new car or A FUN EMOTE or A PAIR OF EPIC PANTS or more money which you can then use to buy another car. You're just showered in cars. Piles and piles of cars. I own every kind of classic car, because I'm rich! Doubles! I own doubles of some of em.
Performance-wise I got it set to High settings, locked at 48fps, and it's looking great and running smooth on my GTX 1070. If there's anything I don't like about the game is that there's kinda too much "story" stuff. Too much chatter on the comms about events and things I should be getting excited about. I just wanna play tunes from Spotify and discover and race at my own pace, thank you! The in-game tunes weren't too interesting and there only seems to be 1 radio station!?
Anyway I can't be the only one here playing this, am I? How's everyone else enjoying it?

I’m playing it, and yeah, it’s fun! I started playing 4 a bit this year but decided to hold off for 5, and that was a good call because it seems basically the same but with a more interesting backdrop. The Microsoft corpo-hip atmosphere of the story events is a little grating (and my character has the most dead-eyed stare), but I bought a black Porsche 944, a car I used to own for real, and drove it off the side of a volcano, so it’s all good.
