I probably should have phrased it better, but the rest of that sentence is supposed to say that by the time they're going to post a thread complaining about it, they probably consider the autosearch to be nothing more than an annoyance, and it gets interpreted as a distraction automatically. So they don't see the previous threads about it because they're not looking at the search results anymore.
