Funnily enough, now the quick reply box is gone. As if I'd only imagined it. *sadpanda*

Don't worry - it's back.
I'll work on the issues (signature / sensible reply button behaviour) but that may take a day or two before I have time to iron out all the wrinkles. In the meantime I've left it there but if anyone notices any major issues then let me know and it can be disabled if needed.

Thanks - and thanks for being so quick/responsive about this! Hope we'll end up with something that everyone's happy with (okay, I'm not holding my breath re: ZylonBane being happy with it, but then I'm a pessimist) and that may even make it easier for people to bloody well post!

People bloody well posting is something I'm very much in favour of. Or perhaps I should say that I'm very much in favour of people bloody well posting.
(Sorry, Tannar)
Edit. Sorry, I'm still thinking about another post elsewhere. I went to SystemShock and DarkMod to see what they did there. They're not the same although I have been aware of their quick reply feature. At the moment, I like it but I'm not immediately aware of it as I tend not to have my browser full screen so miss the bottom of the forum unless I look. I expect it will become second nature very soon though.
I hate the thought of sad pandas.

Using the Quick Reply feature to say that I like the Quick Reply feature!
But yeah, I'd also prefer if the Signature defaulted to Off.

Yeah, I've got some Invader Zim reference in my sig from 2002. That's not who I am. That's not me.

I was disturbed by its appearance at first, but I am coming to like it, and would like it more if a couple of changes were made.
1. I agree defaulting the signature to checked is bad mojo. Defaulting to unchecked would be better, but the best practice from a UX design standpoint would probably be to default it based on the user's account setting, if that's possible, since users have already specified there if they want it included by default in their posts.
2. Reply to Thread should go straight to Advanced, as Tannar suggested above.

It's found me although I'm not sure how well I am- degenerating into a basket case I think. :)

i have only just been directed to this thread (see we don't all read every forum page) and i have got a BIG issue with this jumping down to the bottom of the page....especially when trying to navigate through the Mission by Type thread. You click on say city missions and you are taken to a place a long way away from the city missions and when you click on 'back to listings' you have to scroll all the way back to the top of the page.
Has this issue been brought to your attention. Is this problem being dealt with ?
