This is from quite a while back but apparently people wanted to tinker with my failed attempt at a Goggles model replacement. I didn't notice this because shortly after posting about my defeat, I promptly moved across the country and started a new job and didn't check the thread again.
Anyhow, here it is if anyone wants to mess with it (5.18MB):

In a while I am taking a short career break in order to practice level design (Hammer) and also work on modelling and art for a portfolio. I intend to revisit Shock 2 in my studies :)

Hey thanks! I was going to PM you about this after I saw some of your recent posts but I quess I forgot.
Now if someone with knowledge about modelling would like to finish this model please :)

Ajare already made a complete model of Goggles (untextured) so if yours isn't that far yet maybe you want to finish his (with permission). I think it looks about as perfect as it'll ever get....of course if you post a screenshot you may prove me wrong ;)

It is most definitely not...as I recall, I had some troubles importing 3ds meshes into Maya. Not that it would be hard to rescale the body to specific proportions though the UVs might have to be remapped to fix stretching. But the entire body texture never got past the 'placeholder' stage anyway.
I'd still like to do meshes for Shock 2 but I'm not a very technically-minded person.
If I were to work on a MP model, I think I'd rather use an original design or perhaps work off the concept art of the alternate player characters.
