I was just wondering, do you think instead of making the poster titles new members and full members and such do you think you could assign positions like Villager, Knight, deadric and so on?

Its highly unlikely that people will get personalised titles as there are literally thousands of accounts on TTLG. Also, using a different generic name (eg, knight) like member is used now, wouldn't make sense - TTLG isn't just about Morrowind, you know.
So to sum it up, don't count on it.

Yeah, basically what Smiley said... the TTLG Forums are really one big unit, so any titles we tried to implement would be the titles used for everyone who registered, which would mean people in the Thief Forums, System Shock Forums, Deus Ex Forums, etc etc... We actually discussed this possibility some time ago, but figured a System Shock fan wouldn't want to be known as a "Taffer", a Deus Ex Fan wouldn't want to be known as a "Shockling" and so on...
It's easy to forget that though, in a forum like Morrowind, where a good percentage of the members don't venture out into our other forums. :)

It also helps on cutting down the amount of spam. If you have different titles for number of posts, you will also get some people who just want to have the highest title and thus will post everywhere not caring whether they truly have anything to say or not.
