For guitar players that use a Wah. - by Volitions Advocate

Did you just do the bypass mod or did you alter the tone circuits too? I have a 535Q, and I'm pretty sure it's true-bypass already (at least, I can plug in through it even if there's no batteries).

I'm retired for the time being. More of a rhythm guitar/bass player/drummer myself so I've not had much use for wah pedals. What's the rest of your rig?

I stopped using my Crybaby when it started picking up the radio through my amp, in the MIDDLE OF A GIG. That was a fun time.

If you look closely on the left hand side where the orange and the orange/black wires come out of the PCB I've removed a few resistors and diodes. Thats the buffer section, i figured i'd remove it because it was easier than cutting one of the traces on the back of the board and trying to solder directly onto it. Plus they say it improves the sound. but only slightly.
Before I changed the switch I could also play mine without power in bypass mode, I dont think Dunlop makes pedals with true bypass anymore (like in the last 20 - 30 years) they call it "hard wired bypass".

On the floor I use a GT-10 that I just got (which replaces the GT-5 in the picture) for most of my effects. A few stompboxes for effects/distortions I always use. And then the wah. I'm working on building a phaser pedal that works like a wah. and I tend to favor Dean and Warmoth Guitars.

Well whatever it is, it doesn't seem to affect the tone. My MXR Phaser, on the other hand, ruins it.

I've never built one of these but, its basically the same phaser you're using, based on the same circuit.
Careful... you go DIY you never go back.

yeaaah, but I don't really care about effects that much. It's at the point where anything I need can be done with VST. I bought that phaser years ago and have never found a single use for it.
