Right now I'm working on my FM for Deus Ex called 'For Freedom'. I have reached the pre-alpha stage and I want you to help me with the testing process.
The file itself is quite small, only 300 kb: (
http://www.dsp.nightmail.ru/lgs/ff_prealpha.zip) . There are no details, lighting, scripts, AIs and even textures in the mission, but I have finished constructing the basic geometry. I want you to test the basic geometry and to help me making the mission even more non-linear than it is now. Try not to pay attention to the lack of details and textures, it will be added later.
If you decide to download and test the mission, you should have the Deus Ex SDK installed. Install 'For Freedom' into your root Deus Ex game folder. Please read the readme file for details and recommendations. I tried to do everything in order to help the testers to navigate through the map.
Please mail me to dsp@nightmail.ru to express your opinions and bug-reports.
Deus Ex has very few FMs. I want to add mine to this list, and I want it to be good. It will be useless without your help.
Thank you!

Hey, I don't believe you're not interested!
p.s. Now I understand why ISA hasn't released the editor for Deus Ex 2...

Well there are few enough people about at the best of times, so I doubt many of the people who would be interested have seen the thread.
Anyway, here's what I've made of it so far...
First off, the basic layout seems good. Its got a nice variety of small and large areas, its sensibly laid out, with plenty of options etc.
I like the idea of the beams, but I think they are put in too clumsily - remove the pillars and raise the suppots so they are flat and put a ledge around the corridor (maybe make it a wood panelled section which can with the aid of a crate be balanced on), and it will be just as practical but would look a whole lot better and wouldn't get in the way of walking along the corridor like the large square pillars are.
Also, what more is there to say... It would have been better if you'd given it out when the detailing, texturing and lighting were more complete - as it is, there's not much to make comments on.

Huge thanks for reply!
You're right about the beams, I think that they look a but ugly too, so it will be changed.
Well, the version with more details, lighting etc... will be released later :D
Again thanks!
