The volume/sound of your own footsteps decrease the higher your sneak skill is. [/]
No that would be pointless - the AI don't react to sound anyway.
The volume/sound of your own footsteps increase with the more weight you carry
That wouldn't make any sense - in real life you can still walk quietly while carrying a heavy object.

Interesting use of vBcode. :)
It would be pointless maybe, but it would give the game a more realistic feel. But I agree the sound you make doesn't depend much on how much weight you carry.
The sound is not better with the full version.

But really though, just about all games have this feature, with all the cutting edge stuff Bethesda put it, you think they would get this, and maybe ambient sounds included. Those are the only two problems I have with the game aside from the obnoxious amounts of Cliff Racers found in the game. I don't think you could create a plugin that would allow for varying sounds based upon surface, weight, acrobatic/sneak skill or speed, but Bethesda could create a patch to do it. I don't think they will because it'd be too much work, despite being a simple problem. The game is too huge. The ambient sounds though, they could fix. There should be bar type sounds in taverns, priestly choirish noises in temples and various wildlife noises when you're outside. Considering they support just about every type of sound engine known to mankind in the last ten years (Who still uses A3D?), they could do this pretty easily. And cut out some of those damn cliff racers!

I don't mind if the NPC AI isn't affected, I'm just talking about my own experience and enjoyment... If I knew how to do that, that would be the first thing I do today.
