Also, Vista kills fog dead.

I held out with 98 so long that I entirely missed 2000 and went straight to XP. It looks like I'll do the same with XP. I've only recently got fog to work. I'm in no hurry to loose it again.

Nick - I can't believe no one has fog in Vista.
Pavs - You skipped the best OS Microsoft has made, although 2000 actually followed NT4, not 98. Windows ME followed 98, and it's a shame they didn't end the bloodline with 98...

Oh yes...I forgot all about ME. I skipped NT on purpose because of game incompatibilty. I knew so little about that stuff back then. So, I guess I have a couple more releases before it's time to change my OS. :tsktsk: :laff:
I felt comfortable with the BSD, I guess. I was used to it. You know, cats don't like change! I finally upgraded my old pc so I could play TDS. This time it will likely be Starcraft 2 for hubby that triggers the next major upgrade.

2000 and XP are very similar, though. In many ways, XP earns its internal name of Windows NT 5.1 - it's just a version of Windows 2000 with a prettier interface, some extra features/bugfixes... and a few new bugs, of course. :D
Mmmm Starcraft 2...

Just interested in seeing Starcraft 2, that's all. Off-topic.

Right-click on the icon and it's under Tweaks->Advanced Tweaks IIRC.

WoW, turns out i just got too chicken of that lame-ass warning message lol. Thanks, omg! Finally i am a man with a working fog haha. :cheeky:
Btw this is one hell of an offtopic we have gotten here. Well, just to contribute, i played Rowenas' Curse (v2) in MP not too long ago and it was pretty great. We even comleted it. Gotta play it careful though with often hard saves aswell. Don't have screenies, though.

I have a relatively new laptop running Vista 32 and an ATI X1270 and I have not been able to get fog with or without ddfix, and no matter what setting I try with ATI tray tools.
jtr7 on 13/1/2009 at 06:07
I only get "wall of fog" or no fog.:erg:
