if it aint an april fools joke then it sounds like eidos wants the FM community to do all the work while eidos execs sit on their collective asses and rake in some dough (i guess nothing new there though)...
then again it might be an april fools joke... didnt the community name it the flesh engine, not eidos?
TF on 1/4/2005 at 11:26
Eidos or rather ISA named the engine.
:joke:

Even if the announcement was actually made by Eidos on April 1, if it was true I would expect the admins to post it later, in order to ensure that there was no possibility of April Fool's confusion.
Therefore, my money's on a joke until I see the C & Ds. And if it isn't a joke, it sure is bullshit.

Hmmm....

For me the post is listed as "31st Mar 2005, 11:03 PM", so...
Time zones are interesting things.

As a complete beginner I really dont relish the idea of studying this editor, taking the time to make an FM, only to have it either A. rejected by Eidos or B. accepted by Eidos so they can whore it out for some parasite investors. Perhaps playing with it will develop skills for the Dark Mod though...

Davison Lipsor? LIPSOR?
Can anybody rearrange the letters to spell something funny? Maybe after another cup of coffee, I'll be able to make something out...

I tried this - A LIVID SPONSOR is interesting. You can go to (
http://www.wordsmith.org/anagram/) http://www.wordsmith.org/anagram/ to generate them all automatically, but be warned the list is very long, and most of them are complete nonsense.

Anagrams, with punctuation added:
Avoid, lisps Ron.
Old Prisons.avi
I'v Piss on a lord
A Dr.Visplosion
Invalid Prosos
Plaid visors on!
Valid Snoop, sir!
Dinars IV Pools (Needing money to renovate the office, maybe?)
Vapid Sir Olson
AND: April is on, sod.
I've omitted the nasty ones in case there is a Davison Lipsor. I know I might not like it if someone pointed out my name could be rearranged to form the phrase "Ass Lid Porno IV".
If I sign up for a forum sometime in the near future, I'll probably use the name "Dr.Visplosion".
