FMs to be distributed exclusively through Eidos? (LOOK OUT! IT'S A PRANK!) - by Gingerbread Man

Don't know what to make of it. When I saw it, I was bloody certain it's the friggin' april fools again (god, I hate it). Normally, however, the joke's not commented or confirmed afterwards by its originators, in a response to people's reactions -- which makes me a bit nervous.
If it's true, it's fubar like I wouldn't believe.
If it's a joke, it's a bloody brilliant one. Twisted and evil, but brilliant.
And I hope GBM gets radished for it.

I've deleted the editor and all my work off of my system. Minimalist Project 1.3 and 1.4 will have to be deleated as well since I used the editor to make changes. I expect everyone here will comply. :joke:

Ya, that about sums it up for me. Of course, it doesn't take much to make me dislike EIDOS even more these days... :eww:

Jeepers! I feel terrible now since on thiefpetition.com I had suggested that Eidos do the whole assesment and expansions deal. In fact I cited it as a reason they SHOULD release the editor. I just thought that they'd leave everything free to downlad as a well. I hope no one got that idea from us  Talk about irony if they did . . . :(

Waht? So the plan would be : People make Fan-missions, then send them to Eidos so Eidos can sell them? :joke:
Thats lazy man - but probably the right idea since the Thief community already proved its ability to enhance and fix Thief 3. I suggest Thief 4 to be made entirely by the TTLG Community. Only thing Eidos would have to do is sell it and take the money. But of course there would be a wage for the people participiating in the "Thief 4 project" too : The title "Fan Extraordinaire" :joke:
Got to be an april joke...thats just plain dumb ^_^

I got this news late on Wednesday and am still trying to figure out how Eidos plan to make this work, looks pretty "grabby grabby" to me.
Something Awful had a seven page thread on Mitch Hedberg's passing that was full of "LOL APRIL FOOLS" when in fact he actually
had passed away. Much like this news, the timing is just a bad coincidence. :erg:
I'd say this gives it away. :thumb:

Too late, I've already followed New Horizon's example and deleted the editor and all my works in progress from my hard drive. It's kind of sad, especially as I just last night got the water working. You could swim in it, the physics worked wonderfully (of course swimming worked only in the first person pov, the 3rd person pov animations aren't there, obviously), and I even got the sounds (bubbling, gasping for air, water splashing etc) from the originals to add to the mood... Oh, well. I'm sure this is all for the best.

Simply Kirby-Siebenmann invariant Riemannian manifolds in a vector space, described as vertex-transitive graphs.
They're not used much, as they're very complicated.
