- ascottk, what do you mean the assassin doesn't have a glaive in the editor? I ask because I'm still on an editor only install, and you modified asssasin had a weapon (though you could barely see it with his invisibility), and he he was kicking my ass with the shots it fires... is he not meant to?
- I haven't made a new zip file, though with the broken Entry map meaning most people still aren't playing it, I guess I may as well. There's a few other changes as well, but nothing serious. The briefing text... well I guess I can have a wonky weapons list and random map from the entry map if it means it works (getting rid of them was the main reason for creating an archetype).
- I'll see what I can do with the sound - it's the zoneproperties and sound deadening thing, so I'll play with it. I noticed it too, but didn't play much through being more concerned with people making it go.
- It's not in any of the contests currently through being too big (29Mb ibt). But it does/should mean the contests go smoother because we have a few weeks to sort out the installation needed.
- and the .cdb files? No idea. I know they're small so it's not a huge issue, and they might be in the ibt even, but with all the extra stuff the objectives more or less go, and I don't mind a zipped extra 300Kb, though I'm not on dialup.
The bartender is supposedly examining how well she's cleaning the floor, but it ended up looking more like checking her ass out, and I just thought, "yeah, that'll do". Though if you go usptairs too quick he stares at the watchmens crotches instead.
Screenshots anybody?
Ziemanskye on 15/6/2005 at 14:16
sparhawk - the pictures on page 1 of this thread are still valid.
Everyone - updated version of the zip here:
(
http://rapidshare.de/files/2400903/TDS_Townhouse_v2.zip.html) TDS_Townhouse_v2.zip.html
Changes:
* New Entry Map
* Changed the front door slightly, shame the guard still has trouble with it.
* Changed the door frames/portals in the corridor, so the sound propogation works now.
* Changed the EnterMissionInfo, DifficultyInfo and ExitMissionInfo, because I reinstalled thief and lost my gamesys versions anyway. Seems to work though.
* Added some projector lights to some rooms.
* Moved the winebottle further along the desk, and gave the girl in the chair and AddAIPoint, so she at least complains, though still wont stand up (there's not enough space for her to, even if I did know how)

Ziemanskye, I want to try this mission but I am really waiting for some sort of Loader program, even in its basic form, so that I don't need to re-install T3 each time I have to try a new FM. My T3 installation is currently mixed with ascottk's test mission and I am not sure if simply deleting his files (replacing them with backup) will restore T3 to its default state. If I instead just overwrite it with your mission files, will it run successfully??
Ziemanskye on 15/6/2005 at 16:10
Aditya - if you overwrite it with mine, then my mission will go, but his wont, nor will the original start of the game. However, if you also download this:
(
http://rapidshare.de/files/2398671/BackupPlan.zip.html) http://rapidshare.de/files/2398671/BackupPlan.zip.html
Then unzip that on top of either of our missions, it should (hopefully) return you to being able to play the normal campaign.
*note: the zip is just a backup of the entry and stuff that gets overwritten - it contains more than you need, so yes: just replacing the backups (even just the entry.gmp) will get most of the original back

Thanks, I will download and try your mission tomorrow. :thumb:

I don't have minimalist, and he was leaving the plant life alone, but he sure as hell came after me!
SneaksieDave on 15/6/2005 at 17:22
Just for info: I don't have Minimalist installed, and he had a weapon for me.
'Course, I blew his ass up before he could use it on me.
Quote:
He can kick butt & he actually tried to kill the plantlife in the other room.
ROFL, more emergent behavior:
Crotch inspecting barkeeps,
and gardening Keepers.
