I know this has been brought up before in other post but to reduce the size of the file why don't you use 7z's. Yes I like to us zip on my computer but 7z does bring down the size of the file.
I zipped "tds_townhouse_v3.zip" using 7z and is now 23.4MB other then 28MB. And "tds_townhouse_v2.zip" is now 18.2MB other then 21.79MB. Im just saying why can't we us a bitter compression. The program is free. Even winrar is smaller then zip.
Hay what did happen to the flashloader?

The problem with 7Zip as an exe is that its command line based and cannot provide a programatical interface with the zip itself, this becomes a security issue a it can lead to the possibility of viruses and trojans being added to your PC. However the 7Zip dll does provide an programatical interface but the DLL does not expose itself to VB, only C++. This means that FleshLoader could use the dll interface but GarrettLoader could not, and I would prefer to be more secure than save a bit of space.
However in saying that there is work going on to try and decompile the IBT files so that junk can be removed and then the IBT files can be recompiled to add things back in when being installed, this will reduce the download size but increase the time taken to install FM's.

Why a thread about this FM wasn't created in the proper place - the FM forum?
It's not that the forum is exclusively for T1/2 FMs, maybe I missed it though...

That and when I started the thread, I hadn't searched through ttlg much, and didn't know there was a seperate FM forum :o

IMHO this thread belongs here. It's not like we have completely FINISHED TDS FM that we talk about looking for walkthrough, tips, hints etc. We're also having technical discussion...
You would loose all your hairs, Ziemanskye, if Thief FMs Forum members started asking all those technical questions: "Where do I get T3Ed?"; "How should I open this file?"; "Why there are no objectives?"; "Where should I copy these files?"; "How do I open .IBT?"; "Why DarkLoader does not recognize this ZIP?"... ;)

iam playing this fm and i dont have any sound or objectives......
any clues?

billynone, are you playing with the editor version of T3MAIN.exe? as the one that came on the T3 CDs/DVD doesn't pick up custom stuff.
If not you can download the exe from the link in my signature (2mb)....or download 300+ mb of the editor.

i was using the t3 editor one, i downloaded yours and now nothing works at all (not even t-ds) all it does is use up 100% of the cpu, i left it like that for 15 mins but nothing else happened, so i deleted everything, reloaded it all, played it again still no sound, then used your t3.exe and it went back to the way it was before, when i looked in task manger->processes, the t3.exe was going up and down the list of processes, cpu was still at 100% usage
i have no clue what to do next...........

Thats odd, I presume yours is patched up as well? You may need the editor T3.exe as well as the T3MAIN.exe then. Anyone else with this problem?
