Crate :wot: ...should have thought of that....

I couldn't get the bird statue by climbing the wheel last time either! Again I just pushed a crate over and mantled up on top.
I notice there are still a few things left over from my last bug list (the misaligned torch, the chest opening into the wall etc.) but I didn't see any problems with guard patrols this time which was the one real bug. Almost there. :thumb:
Are you sure you're not playing the old version? I realigned the torches and the chest should now be on the other site of the 'big round' room. You'll know it's the right version if there is a wine bottle on the cellar table instead of a heath potion. Maybe GL is picking up the wrong ibt ?

shouldn't be, the thing is the zip file was the same name so I made sure when I tried that I put the old zip in another location before I downloaded. Worked fine, I saw the chest over on the left this time which didn't seem to open into the wall. never saw any torch misaligned, but then I wasn't really looking for one.
The readme also displayed well
(

How I get da bird:
Climb on the large pipe to the right, run and jump to the wheel. Keep moving forward (don't jump again) and you'll climb up it. When on top run the opposite way so you don't fall off. Once you have your balance try and edge towards the bird and grab it. the frob distance is fairly generous. jump off.
How...odd. I have been having a few problems with GL and the ini patch thing. I renamed the first version to Special_Vintage_b1.zip, so the question is: am I dumb enough to install the wrong mission or could GL get mixed up by my changing the filename? Or both. ;)
I've now reinstalled the OMs and played for a bit as I saw potterr mentioned you had to start the game before GL would work properly. Then installed SV and it all appears to work now, never seen a better aligned torch in my life. Even weirder - did the water wheel move in beta 1? It never did in mine and I think I may even have used a manual install at first! Time for a clean install I think.

The water wheel worked for me the first few times I played, but not the last time. (Still haven't gotten that damn bird! :nono: )

I think the wheel stops if you load a save game. Played through again, lighting is much improved so nice one Gonchong. The dead body fell and blocked the grate once, which was a bit macabre.

The water wheel's supposed to move?? It hasn't in either the beta version or the final version for me.

From looking at the FM forum, I think that it stops moving if you save and reload . Looks like a problem with the launcher script.
