doctormidnight, with regards to the warning message, GL detects the information in teh registry according to what was last played, if you last played the editor version (actually played that is not just started up), when your settings are set in GL it will pick this up and move the saves if you want it to, otherwise it will leave them in your documents and settings folder.
With regards to the ini file, its as I said before the ini with the
[PCVertexPools]
DynamicVertexPool0=31457280
StaticVertexPool=26214400
StaticShadowVertexPool=15728640
id the one updated by GL and is the one that would work best for most of the FMs that have come out so far, the one installed from Special Vintage does not have enough information in to run properly, namely:
DynamicVertexPool0=31457280
StaticVertexPool=26214400
This is why it is important for FM makers to use _patch.ini files rather than their own ones as thief default.ini files may contain more info than thier user.ini and so not be passed onto the people playing the FMs.
GlasWolf, I'm sure there were some problems with commenting out LoadFromResourceBlockFiles=True on schism, I think it didn't load the gates or something with it commented out.

GL1.12 wont play it for me. It wont add it to the FM list. I get this message:
Code:
Excess Zip File(s) Found
GarrettLoader has detected some zip files that may be in the wrong folder for the currently selected game. In order for GarrettLoader to work better, please move these files out of thier current location if they are not Fan Missions.
However if they are Fan Missions please make sure they are in the correct folders.
Unknown Zip Files
SPECIAL_VINTAGE.ZIP
What Does This Mean?

Means it hasn't detected it as an FM as the readme is missing a few bits (see my first post in the thread), although it should have detected an IBT file inside it and classed it as a T3 mission within your T3 folder (the T3 button in the toolbar on GL, any other button and it would show the message you got).
Although what is slightly confusing is that I am using GL version 1.12 and it came up fine.
One thing that could be possible here is that the zip is corrupt as it may not have picked up the IBT file name from the zip.

I'll DL it again then.

try opening it normaly with winzip, it should be fully viewable and you should eb able to extract the readme, if not then the download is corrupt. Also it should be (any one of these as my PC is reporting back various sizes) 38.233MB, 37.3MB or 39.1MB (depending upon if its size on disk, size in properties or size in windows explorer (on an NTFS win2K drive, XP would take a bit less space on disk).

It's okay now I've DLed it again. Installing now...

I've got a new DSL modem on the way, it should be here around 3 PM, I'll download the new FM, upload it to my server, and provide a link this afternoon.

Just played the new version all the way though [SPOILER]although I couldn't get the bird statue this time...spend hours trying[/SPOILER].
I see you took my comment about [SPOILER]the body in the room with the horn[/SPOILER]. :thumb:
Top class effort there, I couldn't find anything wrong with it... A full release is in order there.... :thumb: :thumb:
Although a couple of comments: your GLTitle would have been a bit better if it had the title in and was partly of a picture of the special vintage itself...
And that bird statue did my head in.... :mad:

I couldn't get the bird statue by climbing the wheel last time either! Again I just pushed a crate over and mantled up on top.
I notice there are still a few things left over from my last bug list (the misaligned torch, the chest opening into the wall etc.) but I didn't see any problems with guard patrols this time which was the one real bug. Almost there. :thumb:
