Thanks zombe, challenging mission. I'm stuck in Security area where power cells should be placed in radition room. But I miss two.

My memory fails me :/ and i do not have SS2 installed yet ... i have a foggy memory that not all of them were needed - except when unlucky with ones choice of which devices to power.
I remember only one power cell location - between two computerish towers in a room just outside of the radiated room.

What should be after Security area? There are no more closed doors and unvisited areas.

The power cells in the radiated room will enable the main elevator => ie. press the big yellow button to end level. Not missing much if you are unable to find the needed cells.

Man, I've just remembered about this mod and tried to play it. You know (oh, of course you do!), it's :mad:DAMN:eek:CRAZY:o
What's the tactics? Sneaking? Every zombie knows where I am and is going to kill me, besides that every room has monkeys, spiders or reavers, and there's no way to avoid them.

Be observative and pick your fights.

I've completed this brilliant fan-mission! On easy level, though. The biggest challenge for me was, of course, getting a weapon and staying alive. What's amazing is that this is Zombe's first FM, and it's incredibly awesome! The level architecture just blows my mind, especially when you start - there are so many doors and ways, and you never know what's behind the corner. Lights, colors and shadows - I don't remember how it looked with the original renderer (before NewDark), but everything looks so cool!
And this is all the single map! I've spent more than 5 hours in it. As other people I stuck with the sec's force shield.
The only thing I didn't understand - why there's one more battery socket in the radiation area? I've used one battery in the flood tunnel to open the door which wasn't nessessary, but I triggered the elevator button without one battery placed. Later I summoned one and inserted that one as well, but nothing had changed.
You said you were gonna do more fan-missions. Any progress?
I remember I installed this FM about 8 years ago, and I was very tired... I had no weapons, and there were hybrids patroling the area, and then the psi reaver killed me. Years later when I was into fan-missions I thought that I had a dream of a level where you start playing in a closed room without a single wrench... I looked into my archives... and it appeared that was not a dream :)

:cheeky:
-------------
IIRC, the game mechanic behind the battery sockets is:
* there are X sockets (only a few of them do something useful for player, pretend the rest power the kitchen oven at some other floor or something)
* there are Y cells hidden around the level (where X <= Y)
Easier difficulty levels remove some of the useless ones. So, given highest difficulty level with worst possible luck in picking the slots - one has to find all the cells. Easy, on the other hand, is always easy. Hardly any useless sockets and plenty of cells all over the place ... erm, seems you did not find all of them :ebil:
PS. I suggest you play at highest difficulty at some point - it is much, much less forgiving that way (i designed the level to be playable without requiring foreknowledge nor luck ... being observant and picking ones fights is the easy path for this particular mission).
PS2. Camera alarms spawn psi-reavers which cannot be killed as there are no brain-structs for them spawned.
-------------
About more FM's - have not found time to finish any and i unfortunately doubt i ever find the time needed (DromEd is like a canonical example of an astonishingly terrible level editor - it is supremely inefficient in the result/time department). Pity. The one i have, almost finished, is quite good - much better than "Proov" ... but oh, well.

I tried to play Proov once.
Once.

This is the worst thing that could happen to a project.
