I come to you all for help.
My brother is getting married soon, and he and his fiance have asked me to find their cake toppers. This is proving to be bloody difficult as they want Cloud Strife and Aeris from FF7. If I can't find this then Diablo characters - specifically a Paladin and a Sorceress.
Now I've bought Cloud & Aeris but they are pretty damn big. We're talking a LOT of cake to carry these guys. And the only Diabloesque figures I've found are cast and weigh a ton, they'll just sink. Diablo 3 will come with a new release of figures I'm sure, but the wedding is in August and I don't want to leave it till the last minute.
I figure someone on here has to be into gaming figurines and can give me some direction. Please try keep the exchange rate in mind, I pay in ZARands so hundreds of Pounds/Dollars/Euros will be out of my reach.

Representing yourself as Aeris (now Aerith!) in a wedding is seriously tempting fate.
The good news for you is that there are a LOT of FF VII figures out there. Of course, as you mentioned, a lot of the figures are big. I have seen, on occasion, something called "Final Fantasy Trading Arts Minis" - essentially, they're little boxes you buy with a random FF figure inside. They are 5-6 cm high and weigh about 100 grams - I have no knowledge of wedding cake weight-bearing but I imagine that's good enough. But of course, you don't want to buy random ones. Fortunately, we have eBay.

Kolya - shot for the idea. I'll keep it as a last resort, though obviously smaller lighter figures will be a more subtle detail as opposed to "Lookit the Nerd cake!"
