Yeah definitely awesome. Especially underground and in the labs where theres lotsa darkness/sparse lights/shadows cast and metal/stoney survaces it really shows.Only beef i got with it is the flashlight is way too bright up close, otherwise getget :eek:

afaik the "old" float version will be included in the 1.0004 patch. I don't know if the floatingpoint guys submitted the new version since it's really, really new.

stalker runs well on my rig.I thought id try float32 anyway and have had mixed results.in many indoor areas i get some weird purple shadows and afew random slowdowns.I uninstalled it and everything is back to normal.might have something to do with my GO 7800 gts card not being compatible.

should not be the case, the new float32 version does support ONLY DirectX 9.0c cards which your nvidia should be. maybe seek help on their message board or post some screenshot for them to fix it.
the "old" float version was working across all cards, that's the version I think they will include in 1.0004.
