Fixed up. Noice. Thanks for everyones time! ;)
EDIT - Ah! DDFix. Right. That apparently fixes it. Yay for forum search! Trying to out now.
Yay! \o/
I have another "My SS2 install don't work!"
Tried installing a couple of mods awhile back, didn't work, seemed to fuck SS2 up hard. Reinstalled it today. Found Koyla's SS2Tool that seems to do all the installation crap in one hit (Cheers Koyla!). Used that and i'm getting the same issues i had before.
Here they are:
1. Pink slabs of death in the main menu:

(You'll notice its taken via camera. Print screen didn't work and i couldn't be bothered figuring out why)
2. If i go to 'Load Game' and hit back i crash to desktop.
3. If i go to 'New Game' and hit back the pink slabs are gone.
4. I can play the game fine (Got to medsci) but left click doesn't seem to work in the inventory. I can right click and pick up the wrench for instance, but cannot drag n drop the wrench into the primary slot.
5. EDIT - Oh and i haven't managed to get the crappy old cutscene codecs to work yet either, i've just turned off the intros for now.
Really wierd huh? I'm thinking its my display drivers (Nvidia) and nothing to do with the mods i tried installing. I may have updated them somewhere along the line. Thought i'd see if anyone has hit this issue before though, first.

Yes, the latest version of DDfix seems to be 100% working with SS2 now. I mentioned this elsewhere, but does anyone know about the external textures feature of DDfix? It seems that we might be able to use it to finally replace terrain textures with hi-res versions.
DDfix, the widescreen mod, SHTUP, rebirth, and replacement terrain textures would almost bring SS2 up to date.

You can replace terrain textures with high res versions now. Though i believe the reason they arn't is because a larger texture will cause the engine to render it physically larger too, and thus pull the level out of whack.
Thats just my guess though, i remember hearing that excuse a long time ago from one of the SHTUP members.
