I want the supposedly lame ones because that means people are actually interested in what others think. I've already posted a "lame" and very small map when I was in search of answers regarding specific lighting parameters, and the feedback I got was great. I hope more people start doing the same, because it helps everyone, even us newbies.

I hope to have something in a few months, but I don't know if it'll be good or not. If it gets done it will be my first mission release ever, so don't expect anything legendary.

I think the only reason we haven't seen any crappy FMs already is because the process for distributing maps hasn't been worked out yet. I predict that as soon as it is made relatively easy to release a map, we'll see several 2-room maps using one texture and blasted with huge radius lights, populated by a single guard standing still facing a wall :p
You haven't played
(http://www.thiefmissions.com/info.cgi?m=gatheringatthebar_T2) Gathering at the Bar by Trimfect have you, Mr. Man? :p :tsktsk:
deadman.

I never said they'd ALL be crappy. I was just saying that there will inevitably be some crappy ones. I'm sure someone will release a great FM in a week or two and we'll all be happy.

I could give you a crap mission right now, pride says no though, i'd rather be known for one great mission rather than the first and worst ;)

I voted for a lame FM soon -- reason being, I'd like get my hands on a small T3 FM simply for learning purposes, to see how it was done. The original missions are complex and have way too many things in them, which makes it difficult for a beginner like me to make any sense of what's going on in the mission, in terms of how it was built.
So, basically I'm just looking for sample missions, with more than just two rooms.
For actual taffing, I'd rather wait for a while to get a mission worth a nod.

I could give you a pleasant looking level right now. But the AI and collision would seriously suck (the AI would suck because the collision sucks)

Yeah i could nice up my level but like yours the AI would be too poor at the moment to even bother with it as a fan mission. Rough test is how i'd describe mine. Meh i've scrapped it and starting a new one anyway.

I want crappy FM's now because the more content that gets released quickly the bigger the community will get and we need a big community to sustain enough good designers etc.
It's the old Nintendo thing... because they never release anything they never pick up an audience and when they release something good no one knwos whereas Sony releases 40 pieces of shit per week and their community is huge and when they release something good everyone knows.
I'm fine if there's a couple of single level (or two levels connected) missions. I don't need big campaign storyline type things... I'm going to start small and get bigger (so long as I can start making maps without so many subtraction crashes...).
