Here is a small, playable prototype of Project Maiko, a stealth game heavily inspired by the Thief series. So much so that I'm using Thief 2 sounds as placeholder audio!
Obviously, there is still a lot of work to be done, especially with the AI, but this is the foundation of a game that I've been wanting to make for years, and now finally am able to. Further down the line, when I get a second prototype made, I'll share it too!
The short summary of the story is that you play as a troubled young woman named Maiko, who is undergoing an experimental hypnosis therapy that is making her experience surreal versions of her memories. As a woman who suffers from depression, anxiety, and schizophrenia, there will be many strange and twisted things that will be seen when she is forced to confront her subconscious.
That's all I'll say about the story for now, as that is still being worked on, but that will have more revealed later down the line as well!

I could in a bit record a quick playthrough or two, because the prototype, while very small, does allow for multiple ways to go about it

Took me 3 tries before I got through it unscathed. Nice work Buccura, I was wondering what'd become of this project. :)

It's still being worked on! I'm planning on working toward a 2nd prototype which will have some actual assets and a real level. Then from there possibly work toward having a kickstarter. I don't want to dot hat unless I have an actual playable demonstration.
