And: I agree that getting to Master Thief is really anticlimatic. I missed Gentleman Jim, in spite of the suicide missions he had been giving me. Plus, I never found a use for that swiss army lockpick, or those special gloves. :erg:

Suicidal Missions? Holy Grail? 100k? Did I miss something?
That 'swiss army lockpick' as you so bluntly put it, is a skeleton key. It will open ANY lock in the game (as far as I know.) And those gloves? They are only used for the Bal Molagmer quests in which you have to wear them while completing the quest... You might not have to, but I kept mine on while doing the Bal Molagmer Quests.
So as you can see the 'swiss army lockpick' does have a use, and a good one too. Unfortunately if you got it when I did it was too late to put it to good use.
Ah... Holy Grail. You mean the Bittercup. Strangely, it did nothing for my stats. I'm not sure why. I should have sold it, but I gave it to Gentleman Jim Stacey instead. Guess my stats were too high for the Bittercup's powers.

yes I ment the Bittercup ;) I think you had a choice:Either drink from the cup and gain stats (Your best get better and your worse get worse) or keep it. You have to admit it's alot like the Holy Graal though:eek:

Well I've never done the Bal Molagmer Quests. :confused: I don't even know what they are. I suppose I must have missed something when I got to master thief with a previous character.
As for the suicide missions, I meant the missions to kill that plantation owner's henchmen and the Fighters Guild dude. My first character was no heavy weight and she kept getting killed over and over.
And all I got for it was a lousy swissarmy lockpick :p

I had trouble with the two at dren's place. But that nfightersguild dude was easy. My character rarely have troble when it's only one opponent cause he have 100 in hand-to-hand and just knock them down :eek:
