Okay, this game turned a tad more pleasant after I realised you can hotkey your favourites to numbers (which is never told anywhere).

Really? How? I could use that as well :)

Firefreak, you can hotkey your favourites (open the menu with Q) and then have your mouse over the desired item and press a number.

Here are the specs for Skyrim, cardia. I'm
far from being an expert on the innards of PCs, so I'm not sure if your graphics card will handle the game or not. I'm sure one of the more 'serious' PC guys here at TTLG will read this & be able to answer your question in more detail. The only special edition that I know of is the Collector's Edition.

I think he'll be fine, I can run the game with Ultra settings + 4xAA 35-60FPS on a radeon 4870X2.
After one hour playing I can safely say that, although this is still going to be worse than Morrowind, it's much better than Oblivion. I'm, somehow, enjoying myself.
Also I'm more sober but(
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=137442) still totally mad at the interface. Almost ragequit 3 or 4 times (in one hour, yes). Tempted to call it worst UI for a RPG ever.

Thanks Dia and Briareos H, i guess i´m going to buy it tomorrow, let´s hope this game wont have so many cloned caves and ruins like the previous one, does the collector edition brings any new mission?
Dia on 13/11/2011 at 02:16
I don't think the Collector's Edition contains extra missions; at least, not that I know of. It does have the Alduin dragon statue (which I'm having the devil of a time getting to perch on his stand properly), the 'cloth' map (still pretty impressive though it doesn't feel like any cloth I know of), and 'The Making Of ...' dvd disc (which I haven't had time to watch yet since I'm still easing myself into the game). I'm not sorry I spent the seriously extra money though.
Well, not entirely sorry.
I just don't think I have enough testosterone to keep wrestling with that damned dragon.

I had some day 1 issues due to the numpad keybinding problem (didn't really play at all the first night) but got that sorted for now with Autohotkey.
But anywho - my impression - hell yeah. I haven't played a crazy amount yet, but it's already SO much better than Oblivion ever was. I welcome the shift away from the old stat system; I'm just
playing my fucking character and letting them naturally become what they're going to become. No more worries about getting a crappy bonus to this or that. I feel unshackled from something I always knew was horrible, but willingly suffered anyway.
And, I feel engaged. Getting out of the intro and off to Riverwood was nice. Here's this peaceful little place where you can now breathe and relax, and start getting into the nitty gritty of what all there is to do in the game. I spent a good chunk of time there, hunting, "fishing", gathering, cooking, brewing, smithing, chopping wood... just really digging all of this minutiae that mostly won't mean squat when I'm level 30, but at level 1, it's great. Bow-hunting deer, foxes and wolves, tanning their pelts, making my own fine leather armor set, sharpening up my weapons... I really dug it.
I'm in Whiterun now, doing Whiterunny type stuff, character is level 6 and a half. Focusing on Archery, Sneak, Light Armor, One Handed, Block, Smithing, and at some point, Enchanting. I'm a little bit nervous about unleashing the dragons, and at what point along the MQ this happens.
I'm probably worrying too much. This level 6 and a half mohawk-sporting Breton is already packing upgraded Orcish weaponry, so she'll probably fare better than I expect.
The music is great. I love how they've incorporated some of the old Morrowind themes here and there.
The voice acting is vastly improved. As mentioned earlier, Stephen Russell is on board, and I've heard his voice now on at least 3 different NPCs. Lynda Carter is NOT the default female Nord/Orc voice actress. :D
Yeah, I'll be playing Skyrim for an unhealthy amount of time.
Neato little tidbit: (
http://www.pcgamer.com/2011/11/12/skyrim-reaches-nearly-250000-concurrent-steam-users-on-day-one-topples-mw3/?ns_campaign=article-feed&ns_mchannel=ref&ns_source=steam&ns_linkname=0&ns_fee=0) 231,593 concurrent Skyrim players on Steam during the first 24 hours post release.
I went and checked the stats for today (yesterday?): 274,410.
All I can say is: Holy shit.
