Hi
I recently bought this game for PS3 and it has to be the most addictive game ever!!
One question though (I have consulted the OblivioWiki page with no joy) about the Thieves Guild. I have joined the Guild but seem to be unable to fence any goods. Now, I have gone to see Ongar the World-Weary in Bruma, and whenever I ask his he says, "Yeah, I can take some of your goods. What have you got?" (or words to that effect) so then I assume I should select the "Barter" option in order to do this. However, none of my stolen goods appear on the list - I am only able to buy stuff from him. This is damned frustrating, as I can't proceed any further in the Guild until I fence 50 gold
Do I need to "boost" my mercantile skill (its very low) before I can fence anything with Ongar or am I being really thick? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!

Now, forgive me because I don't know the PS3 version at all, but when you say that you can only buy stuff from Ongar I wonder if you have switched to sell mode. In the PC version there is a box at the bottom of the bottom of the screen with two icons, one being a sack and the other being something I can't remember offhand. You have to switch between them to show the goods in your possession to be sold.
Sorry if you have done this already, but it never hurts to start with the basics!

Cheers, yes, I had to drop down to the "sack" symbol and toggle to selling. Doh
Made a nice 1500 from all the stuff I have built up.
Regards!

I sure will, might even look into buying a house :cheeky:
Peace

You don't want to be even thinking of buying a house just yet! Spend your money on training, bribes and bums who won't talk unless you give them a hand-out!
You will be able to buy a nice house later on, and you might even have the gold to fully furnish it. :D
PS. It certainly is addictive!

Huh? Nothing wrong with buying a house plus storage with the first 2k+750g that you've got. Then you can finally storage the junk.

Also there are places you own without purchasing them. I use Frosterag Spire, though I still haven't furnished it yet (it has a couple of cupboards by default which we all know can contain items much bigger than themselves :)

I settled for Benirus Manor in the end, as the completion of
Where Spirits Have Lease allowed me to get the place fully furnished. Nice supply of ectoplasms too :D
In a dazzling replay of the DX:IW coffee wars, I control both the official Mage's Guild Tower and the rogue Frostcrag Spire, playing both factions against each other mercilessly.
