Hello folks,
In my Architecture school, Design 1 & 2 consist of dozens of one and two week project. Then when you get to Design 3, you start off with a seven week project... and really your first serious building design.
Here it is,

This time I decided to just make a website for it rather than spamming a thread or blog post with pictures and explanations. The site really doesn't have any explanations; it's really geared more towards professors and peers, so I hope it isn't too incomprehensible. I barely had time to make the site as is, let alone explain everything.
The project was to design a kindergarten (ages 2 - 5) for an urban residential area near downtown Tampa (Florida). The school was supposed to be "experimental" and consist of our own crackpot theories about what's a good environment for the little kids. Fun times!
I hope someone enjoys looking through it. Let me know if you do.

Is there asian influence here, or am off-base?

Kind of an elaborated design for a kid killing project.

So much work!! Great stuff and I like the web site, good way to show case your efforts. I presume you passed this stage?

It looks great and seems like you had fun but I heard that to get noticed(not just in architecture) you need to tackle projects that are currently unsolved problems that people want solved. You could of maybe got a few looks if you built a very functional, realistic and slightly improved kindergarten. It's like game design and the demos you need, they prefer a person who has a great demo with content pertinent to the game than just a great demo.

Kindergarten nothing, I want a place like this to explore. I especially like the indoor pool section.

That's a great compliment, Aja. Thank you. :cheeky:

Any kindergarten with a secret passage and a jungle would be a no-brainer if Uncle Stitch were in charge of a city's budget.
