I've been shitting on the game pretty hard with the first boss being effectively unbeatable. Cinematic ends, BAM dead before you can even MOVE.
My machine is pretty middle of the road right now -- i7 870, GTX 560 ti with a GTX260 driving the extra displays... So I didn't think it would be a hardware issue...
But a friend reminded me that he had a similar issue in Call of Juarez:BiB -- and what fixed that game for him worked for me here. Turn off vSync. that's it... poof, game works -- first boss goes down just as easy as any other bad guy so far.
That's a really annoying bug.

Speaking of graphical bugs:
If your framerate stutters when you move, turn down SSAO and switch your texture filtering to trilinear. My machine is pretty up to date, and I get 100+ fps staring at a scene no matter how complex it may be, but without those options set that way my game drops frames like crazy when I move side to side or turn my camera. I saw a bunch of people on the official forums mentioning this, might as well pop it out here too.
Kind of annoying because my computer can handle the highest settings easy as pie.

I always get a bit of stutter when I load. As soon as I look in a direction I haven't looked in since last load, it stutters. I've taken to spinning in a fucking circle the second the screen comes up. I blame U3E's goofy assets-loading system.

Heaven knows why, seeing the game doesn't use U3E.

Same for me dethtoll.
To the OP - same as any other bad guy? What difficulty are you playing on?
