After yet another reformat, I decided to dust off the T3 editor before putting all my dedex stuff back on.
The question I have is :-
How do you make the fireplace fire have its sounds..I have a nice fireplace, the wood and a nice blaze going..but its silent.
I had a look at the gen torch properties but could'nt see what controls its sound.
I know I'm missing something but cant see what.
Thanks:D
P.S my Whitechapel map im working on with dedex would be a damn site easier with T3:thumb:

If the object does not have a sound schema, you can add one. Open the objects properties and add Sound->SoundAmbient, then click the '...'. Now wait until the Schema Browser loads( and yes, it takes very long the first time). Then just search the schema browser for whatever sound you want, select it and then click 'use' in the objs. SoundAmbient property.

:D great, that did it, thanks.
Ambients, while that screen was open I tried some of the ambients out and I've noticed that none of the mission ones work..i.e m02thumps etc etc, is that right or is my install screwed.

They'll work, but you need DXIW Sound Drone to hear them outside the game.

does that include going into the xbox test, because I put an ambient in the level went to xbox and no sound

Hmm... That should have worked. I assume your sound settings are right. See if the sounds work in Sound Drone before considering re-installation, though.

ok will try that out.

Works just fine with Sound Drone...Just downloaded another tut about sounds and ambients, I'll give that a go and report back.

Anyway, I recommend you to erase everything excepts your works, and reinstall the editor, when the things doesn't go properly...
