I get this thing every now and then where Firefox refuses to believe it can parse jpg files. Instead it goes straight to the download/open dialogue and I tell it to open with 'firefox'.
Sometimes its ok for a while, sometimes checking 'do this from now on' works too. But it comes and goes.
The associations in Firefox options list three different kinds of jpg. One of which it refuses to let me associate with Firefox (pjpg).
Anyway the problem at present is (
http://manydeaths.blogspot.com/2009/11/expedition-1.html) these ones I've uploaded from photoshop, which were fine last time I checked them. Does any one else have trouble with them? Because now its refusing to open the automatically (nb; it was fine before). cheers.

I have the same problem with Firefox, occasionally (on your website as well). I have no idea what causes this behavior, though, but I'd also like to know if there's a solution.

I remember reading (and confirming by my own research) that this is caused by Blogger's web server configuration. I know that the problem has been around for a long time and is very specific to their site. I suspect it's their attempt at annoying people out of hotlinking to images.
(
http://knownissues.blogspot.com/2007/11/clicking-uploaded-photos-prompts-for.html) This is a suggested fix for the issue, but I'm not sure if this is actually the same problem.

Hey that seems to work, cheers. The addresses were the same for each version but the -h tags (or the -R tags for that matter) weren't there.
Curiously, pics in older entries (the older entry singular, really) had the -h tag. So blogger must have been generating it at some point.

Sounds like the server isn't sending the correct mime type.

Yeah, Firefox is a prissy little bitch when it comes to MIME types. Great fun when some misconfigured server is sending out JPGs as text/plain.
