I've been doing the 'Fire Elemental' tutorial from fleshworks. Here are some pictures of what I've done so far :

The very first pic is exactly as the tutorial describes. It looked a bit stupid to me so I took out the knee flames. I also tried using 'MagicalFlame' for a head but it was blue and made a high pitched ringing sound when you were nearby. The flames also looked a bit like legwarmers and mittens which aren't very scary.
The third attempt looked like a fat man so I tried using a male staff from The Cradle. He worked out alot better. He looks like the TG fire shadow as he is just a silhouette of a man in-flames but one thing I do not like is that you can see he is wearing a t-shirt.
Does anyone know if there is a way of reskinning another AI like a city watch or a statue so it is only a silhouette?
I could use it as is but I would prefer no visible t-shirt sleeves.
Thanks
SS

If there is no skin property or you cannot re-skin it like a static mesh (haven't tried yet, but you can change the skins of actors if the according static mesh already has a different skin), why not simply use one of the larger stone statues and change behaviour/sounds etc.? They even have a long coat or something which makes them IMHO more ghost-like.
Plus, you can change the colours of emitters like the MagicalFlame in their properties, surely their sounds also.

That's the tutorial

They got the name wrong and called it a 'Fire Elemental' which is the name of the sentient balls of flame in the Lost City.
If you want it to look like a Cradle staff member then just copy the properties in the 'Render' and 'AIPawn' properties for one of them. They are called 'Haunted House Staff'.
Here's the female version. Her sleeves look better but she has less facial definition than the man:

Right now she won't hit me, for some reason. She just stands there scorching you with her flames.
Beleg, I tried adding the skins property. It opened up a child menu with 4 different skins that I could choose from the texture browser. I tried selecting a few but it had no effect on the AI. Do you know how it works?
I also tried messing around with the material skin and skeletal tag properties. I made a city watch with a puppet skin on, which looked odd.
Can you change the flame colour or just the colour the light emits?
I tried changing a torches colour by Properties ---> Lighting ---> Light Colour and it only changed the colour the torch gave off, not the colour of the flame.
Do you know how to change the damage that an AI inflicts on you? I want the Fire Shadows to be really strong.
Once finished would I be able to somehow upload the Fire Shadows somewhere so people don't have to make them themselves?
Thanks,
SS

Yes but... wait.. wait, wait a moment:
I knew those fireballs meaning just those of Lost City, and in some mission (maybe? monkeys level?) of Thief 2.
What you mean instead?

The Fire Shadow is the humanoid AI, and the Fire Elemental is the sphere. The tutorial is calling the Fire Shadow the wrong name, but the tutorial is for the correct purpose.

What?? And where are present these fire shadows?

Thief Gold only. In the Bonehoard and in The Haunted Cathedral. It'll be cool to see these in a T3 FM.

Damn!! I miss that Dark Project variant :-///
I'm wondering why they just addedd some levels instead doing a complete new game... In fact, we've already had Thief 4, that would be Deadly Shadows...
It worths playing also Gold?
