Okay, it's seems to have been quite a while since anyone's posted to this forum and I don't know if anyone reads this anyway, so this might turn out to be waste of time, but what the hell, I got time :tsktsk: .
Like the title says, I finally finished Terra Nova. I bought the game back in 1997 in a pack with 5 other games, so it naturally came sans manual :grr: . I made it to mission 18 (destroying the Heg telescope) and got stuck there in 98. Since then I hadn't played the game until last week, when I was browsing through this section of the site and noticed the tips on running the game with modern machines. Truthfully, my computer isn't really modern, but since I had a Voodoo3 in it, voila, the vesafix did the job, and I was able to play the game again. So I started from the beginning and finished it the other day. Still, I would say that M18 was the most difficult for me.
I can't remeber the exact numbers from the end, but they were in the neighbourhood of these:
Total kills: 328
Mission time: 3h 40 min.
Cost of suit repairs: 53 000 and change :erm:
Trees: 114 :thumb:
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

A good challenge is to replay the final mission giving yourself fewer and fewer benefits (weaker armour and weapons, higher difficulty setting, etc) and see what you can still make it through with.
I always liked the tree count :)

Good to see there are other 'late' gamers like me :D
Congratulations on playing through a good game, regardless of it's age.
That actually reminds me... What's that 'Thief Gold' box sitting there in a corner? There's one called 'System Shock 2' too.
I think I should get busy...
