Cheers guys!
Tocky, you obviously just want me to end up dying in obscurity on the streets like Eastman did. I'm not saying it won't happen...
Just the opposite actually. I want you to feel something so intense that you make the world feel it. Something you would die for but write a song about instead. Forget artsy and intricate. Make me FEEL it. Every fresh musician wants to be experimental. Bah. Be common. Common experience even if- no- especially if it is about feeling the outsider- is relatable. Concentrate on the feeling and conveying it. Don't meander from it. Homogeneous. Monomaniacal even. Think of every song that moved you then zero in on something you feel like it was a target and if you miss life is forfeit.

Thanks again guys. Henke, always a relief that you didn't want less of me singing!
Tocky, I get what you're saying. I think some are more open, direct or relatable than others. But I like music where I have to do some "work" as a listener and I probably make music like that too. Not exclusively. I don't feel particularly experimental though, but I guess it depends on your reference point.
But there's more stuff in the pipeline, as ever, so our wavelengths may converge somewhere.

You've got a real David Byrne vibe, which is cool. I find the strings at the beginning to be a little overbearing, and the arrangement could maybe use a bit more high end. I like the vocal take a lot, and I think it could be emphasized with electric guitar and maybe brighter-sounding drums.

Ooh, David Byrne. I like some Talking Heads, don't know lots of his solo stuff but I know what you mean.
Definitely with you on the mix, it is bass heavy... struggled to keep the low end of the cellos fighting the kick... something to address. Thanks for the input!
