When you go into the profile of a TTLG member and click the "Find all posts by ..."-link it finds only the latest 500 posts. I'm pretty sure it didn't use to be like that.
How am I supposed to blackmail people with their old posts now?
I guess it's a server resource saving setting, and I can even appreciate the additional privacy. But the link is mislabeled now.
...
Just noticed the limit doesn't catch on when you do a forum search for posts, leave the keywords empty and just enter the name.

I think it always limited the "Find All Posts" results to 500 or so.

Me and vrap are sure it didn't.
Hey! #ss on ttlg much?

There are other ways to search that will give you options to find all posts from the beginning, but no direct way by clicking on the members' names. The 500 post limitation has been in effect for years.

It has been limited to 500 since at least vBulletin 3.0

Yeah well we're old school, don't surprise us like that!
Anyway, as long as it's still technically feasible to find the older posts, that's ok. Just found that out after I had already posted.

You will all learn soon enough!
I have meanwhile forgotten who I was patting down. Might well have been myself.
