Using the armor skill damaging effect of the seemingly-useless Fury sword, I was able to get basically unlimited character levels. Normally your character level is capped by reaching maximum levels in your major/minor skills. Using Fury you can damage the armor skills, train back up, re-damage, re-train, repeat as desired. Of course this is much easier if you can get a low training fee from a master trainer in armor skill. I guess you can do the same thing by going to jail, which randomly lowers some skill levels, but that is rather slow and time-consuming by comparison, and it lacks class... after all, a high-level character is pretty much allowing themselves to be put in jail. ;) Anyway, has anyone else seen or used this particular exploit?

Nope, I've never seen mention of this ever before. Amazing! :thumb:

Oh well, I was just happy with my discovery, even if it's all been done before and long ago. :cheeky: A level 150+ character is pretty disgusting, though, considering you can finish the campaign at level 25 pretty easily. :p

Well done! Never heard of this and will try to use it :).

That's points for you, you detected my sarcasm. Don't be offended though, I tend to do that alot. :)

Being more than a bit sarcastic myself, I rarely have difficulty picking up on it. ;)

Known bug and it's been fixed in a patch. :)
LooseCannon on 30/10/2004 at 08:53
It doesn't help you raise your attributes any higher, it lets you raise your character level higher than you normally could, meaning more health points.
I'm using Morrowind + Tribunal + Bloodmoon with the most up-to-date version of Bloodmoon, v1.6.1820, and the issue isn't "fixed" since I learned of its existence using this setup. Maybe it was patched and crept back in, I dunno, but the capability is still there.

Well, it still does it, but you can restore the values by visiting a shrine.
