File undeleter? Best program for it?

If one had sent something to the recycle bin, and then emptied the recycle bin, and then realised they want the file after all, what's the best way of getting it back.

I know there are unerasers/undeleters out there but does anyone have any recs?

(http://download.cnet.com/Restoration/3000-2094_4-10322950.html) Restoration is excellent and free. It can recover most files if you've just deleted them, but the more time passes the greater the chance they might be corrupted. Still it's the most reliable one I've ever used.

I've used photorec in the past to recover data. It ran from a Live CD.

And yes, if you're still using the machine the file was deleted on, the more you (or Windows) write to the HDD, the less likely it can be recovered.
