You know, I wish he didn't have to die. It would've been great to see him re-vamped in DX2.

Simons doesn't have to die. You can either avoid and evade, or wound him just enough that he's no longer a threat. In the latter case, he just runs away from you.

oh yeah, i have killed simons....i had the chance to let him alive, when he was going away....but i shoot in his head, i hate simons :ebil:
whats the advantage, when simons keeps his life?
i had run around him and shoot with my pump gun to him.....it was a long fight, but a very beautiful fight!

It's all about style. Laying LAM traps on the way in requires using knowledge the character could not have about the future. Zero style points. Exception - you always lay traps on your back trail.
Simon's can be killed with a single swing of the Dragon Tooth. The VE aug gives the character legitimate warning that Simons is waiting on the other side of the door - makes sense to come through with augs activated. Hold down forward and lateral movement keys during the cutscene so that when it ends you dodge the first plasma burst.
IMHO it is very likely Simon's will be back. The clone in the tank - the mindlink technology - perhaps too obvoius.

Well, I chose to blow up Area 51, and Versalife is already gone, so unless the technology exist somewhere else....
Ah, anyways, if I see a highly suspicious look-a-like to Simons in DE2, then I'll just blow him away wit my AK. Man. Diggy Docta.

I was boring and just played peek-a-boo with a sniper-rifle and cloak aug. Hello Mr Simmons, I'm over *here* now

Does anybody feel slightly disappointed that the player was effectively cheated of vengance on Bob Page, since he was in that absurd blue bubble-of-death thingy? I mean, I'm sure a load of us would have wanted to dunk him head first into a Karkian tank, another lot simply shoot him in the face (including moi) and the sneaks.......well, the sneaks never do anything physical, do they? They'd just, well, tell him off......what can you do to a mad super-villan that's not violent and/or deadly? Anyway, they would have done SOMETHING, and my point is all we could do was to blow him up in a particular ending. You never really know what happens in the Illuminati ending....you just cut the power, and...actually I forget what happens.
Does anyone understand my point?
