Time Zones fucking SUCK

Yeah I agree with you there scots, between the socceroos match and the nba finals today I'm a shell of a human being. I was thinking it wouldn't be too bad going into the match because tri nations matches in SA normally kick off before midnight sydney time. I guess they put those on earlier for our audience, because a 4:00am kickoff is fucking ridiculous.

Real shame for the Aussies, I was really hoping they would beat the German giants! (my word they are a bunch of big fellas!).

Hrrr, I'm just worried I won't see a single good game live apart from a couple of midnight kick-offs. :(
Reruns/highlights suck ass.

You pussies. I watched the France World Cup in 1998 when I was in Taiwan. There were loads of all night places open showing it and I rarely got to bed before 5am. Man up, get your game faces on, take 3 weeks off. Anything.
ok i suppose i was unmarried, no kids, a job that started at 1pm and was only for 4 hrs a day but still... :p

I've set the FreeView Box to record the games while I'm at work so I can watch all the games when I come in in the evenings (how sad am I?) :)
One rule I'd think about changing is having a sin-bin for yellow cards. Say 10 minutes for a card, and two yellow make a red like they do now.
The offside rule only really gets complicated when the linesmen deem a player "interfering with play", which causes lots of debates in pubs after the game :D
One game this World Cup actually had a striker offside even though there was a man on the line - he was in advance of the goalie, so the last man back was no longer the keeper but the defender. That was a good call by the linesman!
SubJeff on 14/6/2010 at 13:01
Yeah, that was an awesome call. It was the kind of thing that royally screws a team if the linesman doesn't know what he is doing. I reckon they have had some intensive offside training because the calls so far are have been so on the money the commentators remark on it almost every match.
Also this time: loving the yellow cards for blatant diving.

Really sad!
Much better to take half days for the next fortnight; today I worked 7:25-11:10 so I was back home by 12:30 to see the first game of the day :D

Here is a man who knows how to do it. I'm off work for the next 3 weeks by pure chance (the rota falls that way \o/ ). :D
