Slovenia vs Algeria :eww:...... I hesitate to be as confident as the BBC pundits but I don't believe there is much for England or the US to worry about.

Blitzkrieg.
This what we should have done yesterday.

I think the USA are a slightly better side than Australia though... :erm:

Australians have lost their shit in typical fashion after getting flogged. We've gone from being potential quarter finalists to all hope is lost. I don't think it's fair to blame Verbeek, he doesn't have a whole lot to work with, and there isn't much a coach can do when the team just stops playing. It was disappointing to so see so many players standing around while the germans ran by them, apparently we thought that calling for offside was a substitute for actually playing defense. That said, Serbia looked pretty ordinary in their match as well, so I don't think all hope is lost yet, it just remains to be seen whether this team has any heart.

I find it funny when a team like Oz gets despondent when they lose to someone like Germany or Brazil or Spain. It's like they expect to do better because they're not being realistic. It's not a bummer to lose to Germany guys - they are better than you and everyone, including you, should know it. Australia's aim should be to come second in their group because coming 1st is a crazy dream.

Yay for Germany. Official roule in German soccer press is: the national team does not play good.
If they, more or less by accident, actually do the first question is if the combinations, routes and passes are indeed the results of hard practice or if it they are just mere coincidence.
Man, what was wrong with these referees? They looked like matadors trapped in the bodies of soccer referees. I almost expected to hear the sound of snappers everytime the linesman waved his Muleta...eh flag. Bunch of Spanish themed porno actors...
Also that wasn´t a red card.

What do you call a defender who ruins every offside trap, repeatedly fails to keep his mark and is directly at fault for all the conceded goals? Lucas Niell.

Yeah, that was a bad call. Or maybe just a need to insert himself more in the game, apparently that referee is known to be very card-happy. It's a real pity when that happens, that card just killed the game stone dead.
