Well they did. Spain seems like the reason everyone feels that the finale was dull. Spain VS Germany was even duller. It's Spain's way of playing. It's kinda effective, but ultimately sucks. At least in my opinion.
Too bad, looks like Holland will never get it's overdue well deserved cup, even if they win every single previous game.
Gues it's time to forget this tournament ever happened (except Holland VS Brazil)

I thought that was the best final since 1986 but that isn't saying much really. Thank god it didn't go to penalties.

I was slightly amused and shocked by the kick. Doesn't really affect the game much though, apart from the player change.

Yes, and that's why I was slightly amused. One of the weirdest football moments I've seen.
On a sidenote, kinda nice how high the footballers can jump. Hadn't really noticed it until some guy bashed into another guy's head with his crotch.

It's great to see my heritage win, although I was rather fond of both teams. I will say this though, and it's kind of irrelevant as an afterthought but it seemed The Netherlands were playing a bit dirty at first. This seemed to anger the Spanish team which ended up playing just as dirty so it was =/. That was the only thing I disliked about the game but otherwise I am (obviously) happy with the outcome. I watched it with my grandma, whose father was born in Barcelona, a man I met once when he had the chance to visit the US from Cuba back when I was but 12 or so. She was very happy to see Spain win and that was the best part.

So... My sympathies had changed towards the dutch team before the match, partially because I thought that they had no chance against the spanish team, and partially because one or two of the dutch players are kinda cute (Sneijder mostly, blonde or not.)
Then they started kicking the other team in the crotches and stuff and I'd have been seriously pissed off if they had actually won in the end.
Seriously, wtf? Didn't they accuse the uruguayian team of dirty play and bad sportsmanship? Or am I mistaking them for someone else... whatever. Erm, nope. It were the holland supporters (in another forum) who said stuff like "we won against the foul players!" after that nl:uru match.
That match between uruguay and germany was much more enjoyable to watch. Sure, they also kicked each other into the mud, but then they apparently seemed to apologize and helped each other back on the feet.
Bah, I don't know. Maybe I'm just missing some "guys kicking each other around is fun"-attitude genes or something.
