It's amazing really; considering that these two teams were probably the most exciting teams only two years ago in the European Championships, this was such a dull, dull final.
I would probably agree that it's the right result, but I think Spain have actually been pretty boring this time round. Yes, their passing play is second-to-none, and the fact that they can keep possession of the ball the way they do is, frankly, scary, but Spain's threat in the opposing team's box seems almost non-existant. It's just that their possession makes up for it; all they need is 1 chance that they capitalise on, and they can then crowd out the opposing team for the rest of the game (s. four consecutive 1:0 wins). It is very, very effective, no doubt about it, but just makes for slightly boring viewing imo.
Nevertheless, that probably sounds a bit too much like a rant; it isn't meant to take away from what they've achieved, really. Well done Spain!
