Yeah Spain pretty much dominated. Germany simply could not hold on to the ball for more than a few seconds before it was taken away and there was a run to their goal. Don't know what it was, but they were just way out maneuvered there. I mean I'm happy I was rooting for Spain, but it looked like either Spain just had Germany's number, or Germany choked. I don't know. It was a spanking. It could have been way more than 0-1 too if it weren't for the 3 or 4 completely open and botched strikes on Spains part. There were at least 4 goal attempts that were just about golden but missed by just that much.

Spain's passing and positional sense/play was a sight to behold. It was a real testament to Germany's skill that they managed to make some runs at the Spanish and hold onto the ball for as long as they did.
I fear for Holland.

Decision Day.
I hope Holland can get the World Cup after losing the final in 74 and 78.
Beating Spain will be a tough job but everything is possible.

Funny how nobody cared about the Uruguay - Germany match last night.

What Uruguay - Germany match?
SubJeff on 11/7/2010 at 14:03
Was a great game. The last 3 matches leave tonight's with a lot to live up to.

... makes the descriptions of Gryffindor-Slytherin matches look like complete fair play so far, doesn't it?
quinch on 11/7/2010 at 19:26
Not entirely surprising tactics from The Dutch there!

Yeah it's not been the beautiful game so far. That boot to the chest was something awful. That was red card behaviour.
So far the Germany / Uruguay game was far superior.
Let's hope things improve for the second half.

After regular playing time, the score is shite-shite.
